The Birth of a Transformational Ministry
People are often curious about the founders. Out of respect, we are honoring the request to share part of the rich legacy that started Community Christian Faith Outreach Ministries in a way that honors the founders but doesn’t place them in the limelight. Coming from a generation before social media, privacy is still the fabric of life. In keeping with the history we are about to share, their focus has always been about the work of God instead of themselves.
Reverend began preaching at the age of 12, and his lifelong devotion to God’s Word laid the foundation for a ministry that would touch generations. His wife, who came from a deep spiritual heritage—her father being a renowned evangelist—received the infilling of the Holy Spirit in 1970. This pivotal moment awakened her spiritual gifts, birthing her own healing and deliverance ministry. Together, they embodied a powerful partnership in serving the Lord and their community.
In 1979, they answered a call from God that would change countless lives. Reverend shared how God called him into ministry, and his wife, moved by a vision of touching the city through outreach, joined him. With hearts full of faith, they started the ministry with just 15 people, but their impact quickly multiplied. In time, they grew a thriving community of over 100 members, centered around prayer, the Word of God, healing, and deliverance.
Community at the Heart of Ministry
From the very beginning, God’s power was evident in their ministry. They witnessed miracles regularly—people were healed, delivered from oppression, and lives were transformed. But their most beloved memories were when the lost found salvation. Many experienced the baptism of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, a powerful manifestation of God’s presence.
They built a ministry that went beyond the four walls of the church. They believed that God’s love should be felt throughout the community, and they lived that mission. Their outreach programs provided for the homeless, gave turkeys to families in need, and hosted holiday dinners for the less fortunate. They even offered financial help to struggling individuals, always showing the love of Christ in practical ways.
Their legacy continues today, as the seeds they planted through their obedience to God and love for His people still bear fruit.
